RHAM Youth Baseball

This year, RHAM Youth Baseball is implementing GameChanger as our official platform for team management, scheduling, scoring, and communication across all divisions.

Whether you are a coach, manager, or designated scorekeeper, this guide will help you get set up and ready for the season.

What is GameChanger?

GameChanger is a free to use team management app that allows teams to:

  • Manage rosters and team schedules
  • Score games live with real-time stats and play-by-playStream video or audio if desired
  • Communicate directly with players and families

Each team can have up to four admin accounts with full access. These spots are generally filled by the head coach, team manager, head scorekeeper, and optionally an
assistant coach or league representative.

Getting Started

1. Download the GameChanger App

2. Create an Account or Log In
Use the email address that was submitted to the league if you’ve been pre-
assigned as a team admin.

3. Access Your Team
Once your admin role is active, your team will appear under "My Teams" in the app.

4. Update the Roster (if not yet added)
Add players with names, jersey numbers, and parent contact info if needed. You can invite parents to join directly from the app.

5. Check the Game Schedule
The league has uploaded the full schedule, but please review your team’s games and let us know if any edits are required.

6. Scoring Games
Use the app’s intuitive scorekeeping system. Stats are generated automatically, and teams have the option to stream games or provide live updates for families.

Admin Access and Permissions

Each team is limited to four admin accounts. As the league account is currently one of the four (to assist with initial setup and support), only three individuals will be assigned per team initially. These will include the head coach, team manager, and lead scorekeeper. If needed, the league can step back from a team to open up the 4th spot, though this would remove our ability to assist with in-season edits.

Admins have full access to edit schedules and rosters, score games, and manage team communications.
Assign scorekeeper roles early. Managers should identify and assign parents willing to score throughout the season. These should not be coaches if avoidable.

Lineups can be entered at game time, as often coaches finalize them during warmup.

Teams can create custom games when playing opponents not using GameChanger, especially during interleague or tournament play.

League Expectations by Division

We recognize that not every division needs full stat tracking. Our approach is progressive, with expectations aligned to the level of play:

Tee Ball Ball: Basic communication use only.
Rookie Ball: Basic communication and lineup creation.  In addition to communication features, managers should be creating batting lineups throughout the season.  Managers may also experiment with basic scorekeeping functions toward the end of the season.
Minors Ball: Communications and scorekeeping with a heavy focus on pitching stats.  This will be the primary place to track pitch counts.  The designation of errors and extra base hits should be very liberal.
Majors Ball: Communications and full scorekeeping.  Scorekeepers should ideally be confident with the app and rules of the game.  The designation of errors and extra base hits should be as realistic as possible.

Streaming and in-depth stat tracking are welcome but not required.

Note: We are encouraging teams to simply start using the app, and have fun with it!

Commitment to Gamechanger (vs manual scoring) is key. Let’s work together to roll this out smoothly and build a fun, informed, and connected experience for our players and families.

Practice with mock games if needed—we’ll support you along the way!
